The energy of the microwave is virtually predestined for the digestion of small sample quantities. If affects only the contents of the vessel, not the container itself interactively. The liquid contents hereby heat up within seconds up to far above the boiling point.

ROTILABO^® digestion vessels are made of isostatically compressed ultrapure TFM. TFM is a modified PTFE from Hoechst and it contains thermoplastic fluoroplastic components. A homogeneous, pore-free surface is produced. Disturbing residues from earlier digestions are thus avoided.

For samples up to max. 0.5 g, high dimension stability under pressure (max. 25 bar) and temperature loading (max. 160 °C). The sealing film prevents loss of volatile elements from the steam room; bursting film provides protection against impermissible high pressure. To protect the microwave, optional collection containers and a hose are available. If the sealing and rupture membrane bursts, collecting vessels can be used to drain and collect gases and fluids.
