A laboratory analog thermometer is a classic measuring instrument used to measure temperature in a laboratory environment. It consists of a glass tube with a thin capillary filled with a liquid, usually mercury or alcohol. Here are some features of an analog laboratory thermometer:

3. Protective sleeve: To protect the thermometer and ensure safety , it is usually provided with a protective sleeve. The sleeve protects the glass tube and can also serve as a handle to hold the thermometer.
4. Accuracy: The accuracy of an analog laboratory thermometer can vary depending on the quality and calibration of the instrument. It is important to check that the thermometer is suitable for the required accuracy of the laboratory experiment or application.
5. Applications: Analog thermometers are often used in laboratories for measuring the temperature of liquids, reaction mixtures, incubators , refrigerators and other laboratory environments where digital precision is not necessary.

Although analog thermometers are still used, digital thermometers have become preferred for their accuracy and ease of use. Nevertheless, analog thermometers can still be valuable in laboratory environments where simple, reliable and cost-effective temperature measurement is required.
